The Sacrifice

He was born
to sacrifice
He came to Earth
to give his life

For all the sins
held in one world
He came to us
His love unfurled

Though we sinned
He only forgave
For His mercy
Shall we ever crave

He gave us miracles
of many kinds
He made lepers walk
and healed the blind

His only reward
was a crown of thorns
He died on a cross
only to be reborn

To make us free
to give us life
This man would die
and take our strife

But on the third day
He would rise
and the cries of victory
are still his prize

What He gave to us
we must give back
He showers us with blessings
so we'll never lack

He came with one purpose
and gave us love
Still angels rejoice
and sing from above!
